Capstone Project

This project includes three different art pieces that reflect the artist’s lived experiences as an East Asian American. Each piece focuses on a different theme, those themes being sinophobia, mental health, and the mixing of both Chinese and American cultures. The artist will use different mediums, such as acrylic paints, gouache, traditional ink and bamboo brush, and textiles, to create these three pieces as a reflection of her experience and to contribute to the growing voices of Asian Americans as they share their experiences living in America while still having cultural ties to Asian countries. The artist hopes to provide her audience with a new perspective and inspire other Asian Americans to share how they deal with cultural divide and racism in their daily lives.
